The RTX Poland investment will expand Pratt & Whitney’s engine-component manufacturing capacity at its facility in Niepołomice and create more than 120 jobs.
RTX (NYSE: RTX) said the $25 million project is expected to become operational in 2028. The expanded site will manufacture complex tubular assemblies used in commercial and military aircraft engines.
The company identified the GTF, PW800 and F135 engine programs among the platforms that will be supported by the additional capacity. RTX’s official Poland operations page describes the country as a significant base for its aerospace manufacturing and engineering activities.
RTX Poland Investment Deepens Aerospace Supply Capacity
The project is being supported through Poland’s Investment Zone Programme, which provides incentives for qualifying business investment. The combination of company spending and public support is intended to reinforce the region’s role in the international aerospace supply chain.
Additional production capacity could help Pratt & Whitney address long-term demand for engine components across multiple programs. The investment also broadens the skilled manufacturing workforce available to the company in Europe.
The plant will not contribute its full planned output until the expansion is completed, leaving the schedule exposed to construction, equipment and hiring risks. Demand for the supported engine programs and the company’s ability to execute its production plans will determine the project’s eventual return.
