Samsara revenue growth reached 30% in the fiscal second quarter as the connected-operations software company expanded annual recurring revenue beyond $2.1 billion.

Samsara (NYSE: IOT) reported quarterly revenue of $508.4 million, up 30% from a year earlier and 29% in constant currency. The figures were included in the company’s earnings release filed with the SEC.

Ending annual recurring revenue increased 30% to $2.125 billion. Net new ARR was $134.1 million, representing 28% growth in both reported and constant-currency terms.

Samsara Revenue Growth Broadens Across Large Customers

Customers generating more than $1 million in ARR contributed over $500 million in total ARR, an increase of more than 50% for the third consecutive quarter. The metric indicates growing adoption among large enterprises using Samsara’s platform for physical operations.

The company reported GAAP earnings of 3 cents per share, marking its fourth consecutive quarter of GAAP profitability. That combination of growth and positive earnings may help distinguish the business from software companies that continue to rely on large operating losses.

Maintaining the current pace will depend on customer expansion, competitive conditions and the company’s ability to convert broader use of its platform into durable subscription revenue. ARR is an operating measure and should be considered alongside recognized revenue, cash flow and expenses.
