The Pinterest Nvidia AI layer gives product teams shared infrastructure for services that combine images and language. Pinterest (NYSE: PINS) said the platform will support visual search, content understanding, safety systems and AI-powered shopping experiences.
The foundation uses Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) Blackwell graphics processors, Nvidia Dynamo and Pinterest’s visual embeddings. Pinterest said the approach lets teams launch multimodal products without building separate custom infrastructure for every use case.

The company processes more than 80 billion searches each month and described them as signals for discovery and commerce. Pinterest Assistant can handle 25 times more visual context per request using the new foundation, according to company testing.
Pinterest reported average benchmark improvements of about 85 times faster response startup and 7.3 times lower overall latency when using precomputed visual representations instead of repeatedly processing raw images. The figures appear in Pinterest’s official technology announcement and may vary in production workloads.
The Pinterest Nvidia AI layer could improve product speed and personalization, but its business value will depend on engagement, shopping conversions, infrastructure costs and the company’s ability to operate recommendation systems safely at scale.
