10x Genomics Inc. (NASDAQ: TXG) said a Delaware jury found that Parse Biosciences willfully infringed three patents exclusively licensed to Scale Biosciences, which became part of 10x Genomics in 2025.
The jury concluded that the patents were valid and enforceable and awarded more than $4.8 million in damages. The award covers sales of Parse's Evercode Whole Transcriptome products from February 2021 through June 30, 2026, based on a 14% royalty rate.
What the 10x Genomics Patent Verdict Means for Parse
The 10x Genomics patent verdict could lead to further financial and operational consequences for Parse, a subsidiary of Qiagen N.V. (NYSE: QGEN). 10x Genomics said it plans to seek enhanced damages and attorneys' fees because of the willfulness finding, as well as a permanent injunction against the sale of the products at issue.
Those additional remedies have not yet been granted and will be decided through post-trial proceedings. The case therefore remains important for investors following competitive and intellectual-property risks in the single-cell analysis market.
