The ADP AWS partnership is expanding as ADP (NASDAQ: ADP) moves more human-capital-management systems and artificial-intelligence workloads onto Amazon Web Services, part of Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN).

The companies said in a joint partnership announcement that AWS will serve as ADP’s strategic cloud provider. ADP serves more than 1.1 million clients across 140 countries and territories.

The work includes migrating payroll and tax applications, developing ADP Assist agents with Amazon Bedrock and AgentCore, and supporting the company’s Lyric human-capital-management platform. The companies said the tools are intended to help users detect payroll anomalies, generate reports and automate administrative tasks under human oversight.

ADP also said a generative-AI onboarding process reduced certain critical onboarding steps by more than 50%. Its global data platform draws on records covering 42 million wage earners, according to the announcement.

The companies did not disclose financial terms, spending commitments or expected revenue from the expanded agreement. Claims about efficiency and future product performance remain company projections and will depend on deployment, adoption, security and regulatory requirements.
