ChatGPT Financial Services has launched as a specialized ChatGPT Work experience for banks, investment firms and other financial institutions. OpenAI said the product combines GPT-6 Astra with built-in financial data and tools for research, modeling and client materials.

The product was shaped with input from Morgan Stanley (NYSE: MS) and Evercore (NYSE: EVR). Built-in sources include Daloopa, PitchBook and LSEG News, while customers can connect existing subscriptions from providers including S&P Global (NYSE: SPGI), LSEG, MSCI, Dow Jones Factiva and Moody’s.

OpenAI said teams can use the platform to analyze filings, build and audit financial models, prepare presentations and organize recurring research processes. Optimized connectors for services including S&P Capital IQ and FactSet (NYSE: FDS) are intended to bring licensed information into the same workspace.

The company’s official product announcement says the service includes SAML single sign-on, SCIM provisioning and role-based access controls. Business data is encrypted at rest and in transit and is not used to train OpenAI models by default.

ChatGPT Financial Services is available to eligible financial institutions. Adoption will depend on firms’ data entitlements, compliance reviews and internal controls, but the launch intensifies competition to place generative AI inside high-value financial workflows.
