Tensions between Iran and Israel are escalating once again, and Iranian officials have made harsh statements directed at the U.S. and Israel. Iranian negotiator Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf said that attempts to blockade Iran’s ports and the Washington administration’s support for Israel have made U.S. and Israeli regional assets “legitimate targets.”

Kalibaf stated that the Iranian Armed Forces have full authority to respond as they see fit, claiming that the US and Israel have disregarded ceasefire commitments and diplomatic efforts. He added that the two countries’ actions demonstrate they “understand only the language of force.”

As tensions escalated, Iranian state television reported that Iran had launched a third wave of missile strikes against Israel. Israel’s Defense Forces (IDF), in response, announced that all missiles fired by Iran so far had been intercepted. The Israeli military also reported detecting new missile launches heading toward the country.

Meanwhile, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) released a statement announcing that Israel’s Ramat David Air Base had been targeted with ballistic missiles belonging to the IRGC Aerospace Force. In the statement, it was noted that the attack served as a “warning.”

IRGC also claimed that the previously agreed-upon ceasefire was conditional on the cessation of hostilities across all fronts, but alleged that the U.S. and Israel had failed to honor these commitments. IRGC said any future attacks would be met with a much more comprehensive response, targeting all American and Israeli targets in the region.

Meanwhile, an Israeli source speaking to Reuters said Israel would respond to Iran’s latest attacks.

U.S. President Donald Trump gave some striking remarks as tensions between Iran and Israel flared up again. Speaking to Fox News, Trump said to Iran, “My advice to you would be: You’ve fired your missiles; that’s enough.”
