The Intuitive Machines SXM-11 handover has been completed following in-orbit testing of the geostationary communications satellite. Intuitive Machines (NASDAQ: LUNR) transferred operational control to SiriusXM (NASDAQ: SIRI).
SXM-11 is now fully operational after launching aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket on June 28. Successful commissioning indicates that the satellite’s principal systems were tested in orbit and accepted by the customer.

Geostationary satellites operate above a fixed region of Earth, making them suitable for broad and continuous communications coverage. SXM-11 will support SiriusXM’s satellite-radio infrastructure and long-term service capacity. Completing orbital tests also reduces the technical uncertainty that exists immediately after launch.
Intuitive Machines publishes mission and contract updates through its official investor newsroom. The company did not disclose a new financial amount at handover or specify whether acceptance triggered an immediate milestone payment.
