The latest Rocket Lab Electron launch successfully deployed an Earth observation satellite for a confidential customer, extending the company’s record flight pace in 2026. Rocket Lab USA (NASDAQ: RKLB) completed the dedicated mission from Launch Complex 1 in New Zealand.
The mission, named “Happily Ever Faster,” lifted off at 3:28 p.m. New Zealand time on September 11. Electron placed the spacecraft into a circular low Earth orbit at an altitude of 500 kilometers.
Rocket Lab Electron Launch Extends Record Annual Flight Pace
The flight was Rocket Lab’s sixteenth launch of the year and the ninety-fifth Electron mission overall. A higher launch cadence can improve asset utilization and strengthen the company’s position among customers seeking dedicated access to orbit.
Rocket Lab maintains an official mission and company update archive with information about Electron launches and spacecraft programs. The identity of the customer and the satellite’s specific observation mission were not disclosed.
Another commercial constellation mission is scheduled from the same New Zealand complex before the end of September. The next Rocket Lab Electron launch will test whether the company can continue its faster operating tempo while maintaining reliability and meeting customer schedules.
