A package of major U.S. defense contracts valued at nearly $1.5 billion directs funding toward missile-defense testing, naval shipbuilding, aircraft repair and submarine systems.

The largest award was a $508.49 million Missile Defense Agency contract for Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) to support ballistic-missile targets and related logistics through August 2035. The awards were announced through the Department of Defense’s official contracts portal.

Major U.S. Defense Contracts Span Ships, Aircraft and Submarines

Boeing (NYSE: BA) received a $241.34 million Navy delivery order to repair flight-control surfaces used on F/A-18E/F and EA-18G aircraft. General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) received a $149.6 million action for modernization, maintenance and repair of the USS Pinckney.

L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) was awarded a $139.01 million modification covering submarine photonics masts, spares and engineering support. A separate Northrop award has an initial value of $111.35 million for Virginia-class submarine turbine-generator maintenance and related materials, with options that could lift its value above $253 million.

Several awards were issued on a sole-source or noncompetitive basis because the government identified specialized capabilities or a single responsible supplier. Contract ceilings do not necessarily equal immediate revenue, since funding and work may be obligated over multiple years or depend on future options.
