Google announced that it has begun rolling out the personalized image generation feature in the Gemini app to more users.
Based on the company’s blog post, starting today, eligible users in the U.S. will be able to use the deeply personalized image generation experience through Gemini for free.
Gemini Apps Multimodal Generation Lead and Group Product Manager David Sharon noted that the new feature brings together Personal Intelligence, Nano Banana, and Google Photos within Gemini. This integration will allow images created by users to be better tailored to their tastes, lifestyle, and personal context, drawn from linked apps.
Users will get more personalized results by granting Google access to their photo gallery
According to the company, users can now get more personalized results with simple commands like “design my dream home.” Additionally, with the user’s permission, Gemini will use real photos from Google Photos to reduce the need for manual photo uploads in commands such as “create an illustration featuring me and my favorite things.”
The company said that the Personal Intelligence feature makes Gemini more personalized for the user. With the user’s permission, this system can draw context from tools like Gmail, Google Photos, YouTube, and Search to generate more relevant responses and content.
The company noted that these connections are entirely optional and that users can change their preferences for linking apps to Gemini at any time through their settings.
